MediaHeat / Reader, Feedly or Inoreader?

Feedly and Inoreader are the best-known RSS readers, and they do more than MediaHeat / Reader. The useful question is a different one: what do you need? This page compares the three with numbers from each product's own pages, checked on 14 October 2026.

Where Feedly and Inoreader go further

If you follow hundreds of sources, they hold more: Inoreader takes 150 feeds for free and 2,500 on Pro, and Feedly goes to 1,000 on Pro and 2,500 on Pro+, against 200 on our Premium. Both have native iPhone and Android apps while MediaHeat / Reader is a responsive web app.

Why MediaHeat / Reader?

“Reader is a passion project. I built it for my own use and decided to share it with the world. You get to build it with me, with your suggestions and critiques: they reach me directly through Wish list / bug report, inside Reader.”

— Claudio Medeiros

  • No ads. Not even on the free plan. You are not the product.
  • Every feature on every plan. Full articles, AI summaries, smart folders and search are on Free. Premium only raises the limits.
  • Priced in reais in Brazil. Premium costs R$ 14.90 a month there, charged in reais, and US$ 3.99 elsewhere; Feedly and Inoreader bill in dollars. Cancel anytime; Premium lasts until the end of the paid period.
  • Built in Portuguese and English. The interface, the summaries and the help pages come in both, and Reader offers a starter list of Brazilian sources.
  • Small on purpose. Feeds, folders, smart folders, reading and sync across devices. If that's what you use in your current reader, the rest is weight.

Switching

All three import and export OPML, so trying costs little: export the file, import it into Reader and keep your old account until you decide. The guide How to import your feeds with OPML shows the steps for each.
